John Rupert
John N. Rupert 73, of St. Marys, died 6:46 P.M. Friday, August 11, 2023, at Lima Memorial Hospital.
He was born August 6, 1950, in Celina, Ohio, the son of Norbert and Virginia (Kettler) Rupert. He married Cathy Wierwille on July 5, 2003, and she survives in St. Marys.
He is survived by his daughters: Stacy Haynes of Lima; Mary Margaret Cline of Fort Wayne, Indiana; Debra (Jason) Wicker of St. Marys; Jetta (Hector) Hernandez of St. Marys. He is also survived by his 18 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren, and by a sister, Susan Allman of Plano, Texas; by a niece, Jodie Bailey.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Nancy Rupert; a grandson, Jeffrey Cline; a nephew, Doug Allman.
John was a 1968 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He was self-employed as a parts delivery man for Advance Auto. John had been a volunteer firefighter and he enjoyed coaching Little League baseball. He liked watching the Reds, Bengals and OSU Buckeyes. His real passion was bowling!
Funeral rites will be held 4:00 P.M. Friday, August 18, 2023, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, St. Marys.
Friends may call from noon until the time of services on Friday at the funeral home.
