* WHEN...From 7 AM Monday to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Wind chill values can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.

Periods of light snow can be expected tonight with some scattered snow showers then lingering into Monday morning. Snow totals of around an inch or less will be possible. Increasing winds later tonight and Monday morning will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.
Challenging travel conditions will be possible starting tonight and continuing through the day on Monday. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

Carol Hays
Carol L. Hays, 93, of St. Marys, OH died 11:15 p.m. Friday August 25, 2023 at Vancrest of St. Marys.
She was born March 15, 1930 in St. Marys, OH to William G. and Laura C. (Slemmons) Holtzapple. On November 27, 1948 in Newport, KY she married Kenneth E. Hays, who died January 19, 1988.
Survivors include: son Mike (Pam) Hays of Butler Twp. OH; daughter Pam Messick of St. Petersburg, FL; daughter Lyn (Kyle) Bubp of St. Marys, OH; 6 grandchildren numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; companion Robert Cunningham of St. Marys, OH; sister Cleta Vogel of Sweetser, IN.
Preceded in death by: parents William G. and Laura C. Holtzapple; husband Kenneth Hays; sister Gloria Fannon.
She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1948). Carol retired from Otterbein Retirement Community at Grand Lake, where she worked in the activities department. She was a lifelong member of Wayne Street Church in St. Marys, where she volunteered on the funeral luncheon committee for many years. Her favorite pastimes included ballroom dancing, traveling, visiting with friends, supporting St. Marys Roughrider and the Ohio State University football programs, and attending the various activities of her grandchildren.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 12:00 noon on Thursday August 31, 2023 at Wayne Street, with the Rev. Tim Benjamin, officiating.
Visitation is 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon at the church on Thursday.
