Periods of light snow can be expected tonight with some scattered snow showers then lingering into Monday morning. Snow totals of around an inch or less will be possible. Increasing winds later tonight and Monday morning will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.
Challenging travel conditions will be possible starting tonight and continuing through the day on Monday. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.

A few hours of light snow are expected late this evening, mainly after 8 pm. While accumulations will be light, some challenging travel conditions may develop given the cold temperatures.
Additional snow may linger through Monday morning with accumulations remaining light. However, increasing winds and very cold temperatures will support blowing snow, primarily in rural areas.

Irene Jones
Irene A. Jones, age 80 of Maria Stein, Ohio, formerly of North Star died at 6:25 AM on Sunday, August 27, 2023 at The Gardens of St. Henry.
She was born on December 30, 1942 in Frenchtown, Ohio to the late Ferdinand & Frances (Hartings) Nieport. She married Paul D. Jones on May 5, 1962 in Frenchtown and he preceded her in death on July 11, 2006.
She is survived by children: Gary & Staci Jones, New Bremen, Diana & Jay Heitkamp, Sidney, Rosanne & Michael Ridinger, Columbus Grove, Dean & Cheryl Jones, Forest, David & Krista Jones, Versailles, Ted & Jennifer Jones, Maria Stein, 23 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brothers & sisters: Walter & Vivian Nieport, Greenville, Mary Wendeln, Fort Loramie, in-laws Marsha Nieport, Versailles, Robert Gerling, Versailles, Edward McClurg, Chickasaw.
She was preceded in death by infant twin daughters Mary & Anna, brother Paul Nieport, sisters Rosella McClurg, and Rita Gerling, sister-in-law Martha Nieport, brother-in-law John Wendeln.
She was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star, in the choir and the Ladies Sodality. She was a member of the 3rd order of the Carmelites, and of the Schoenstatt Apostolic Movement. She was also a member of the North Star American Legion Auxiliary and volunteered at the Shrine of the Holy Relics, Maria Stein. Irene loved baking cakes and following all of her grandchildren's activities.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 AM Friday, September 1, 2023 at St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star with burial to follow in St. Louis Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Thursday, August 31, from 3 to 7 PM and at St. Louis Church from 9:00 to 10:00 AM on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Shrine of the Holy Relics.
