At 216 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located near Waynesfield, moving east at 20 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph, frequent cloud-to-ground lightning, and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Lightning can cause serious injury or death. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Kenton, Ada, Fort Shawnee, Dunkirk, Alger, Waynesfield, Blanchard, Roundhead, Mcguffey, Uniopolis, Dola, Silver Creek, Jumbo, Huntersville, St. Johns, Walton, Mentzer, New Hampshire, and State Route 195 at State Route 235.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.

Locations impacted include... Sidney, Bellefontaine, West Liberty, Jackson Center, Russells Point, De Graff, Lakeview, Chippewa Park, Roundhead, Quincy, Huntsville, Port Jefferson, Logansville, Mcmorran, Maplewood, New Hampshire, Bloom Center, Pemberton, Lewistown, and Springhills.
This includes I-75 in Ohio between mile markers 88 and 90.

Arthur Dapore
Arthur A. Dapore, age 86, of Russia, Ohio, died at 2:04 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023, at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital, St. Marys.
He was born on January 12, 1937, in Russia, Ohio, to the late John & Bernadette (Groff) Dapore. He married Eileen Homan on August 24, 1963, and she survives in Russia.
He is also survived by children: Karen & Jon Morris of Anna; Kathy & Gene Greve of Houston; Kevin & Lynne Dapore of Russia, Kerry & Holly Dapore of Russia; and Keith & Tracy Dapore of Newport. Also, his grandchildren: Aaron & Gwen Morris, Kyle Morris & Fiancé Megan Whitt, Sara & Michael Cowan, Samantha & Doug Meyer, Sabrina & Jonathan Pleiman, Luke & Hannah Dapore, Jack, Emma Dapore, Mason, Adam, Dane Dapore, Ruthie, Hayden Dapore. And his great grandchildren: Elise, Wesley Morris; Oliver, Allison Cowan; Christian, Nicholas, Lauren Meyer; Natalie, Henry, Emily Pleiman. Also his sister, Helen Larger and in-laws: Mildred Dapore, Delores Homan, Janet & Jim McEldowney, Jim & Patty Boehmer, Mary Keller, Charlene Homan, Carolyn & Dave Kriescher, Doris & Phil Sheffer and special cousin Martha Wendel.
He was preceded in death by siblings and in-laws: Adrian Dapore, Bob & Pauline Dapore, Carl Larger, Carl Dapore, Margaret & Don Geise, Gerald Homan, Herbert Homan, Mildred Boehmer, Joe Keller, Wally Thein, and special cousin, Alvin Wendel.
Arthur was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie Legion-Past Commander, Russia CWV, & Veterans Services. He was employed at Stolle Corporation for 40 years. He enjoyed watching the grandkids play sports. He was an avid Bengals, Reds, & Ohio State fan. He has always been a lifelong Russia Raider fan.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. on Friday, September 15, 2023, at St. Remy Catholic Church, Russia, with burial to follow in St. Remy Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Russia on Thursday, September 14, from 3 to 7 p.m. and from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. on Friday.
