Diana Grile
Diana L. Grile, 76, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2023, at St. Rita Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.
She was born on September 2, 1947, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Floyd and Jean (Hoskins) VanTrees.
In addition to her parents, Diana was preceded in death by her husband, Robert P. Grile, Jr., whom she married on July 2, 1977, and passed away on July 11, 2007; and her grandsons, Mark Grile and Tristan Fullenkamp.
Diana is survived by her children, Douglas (Kathy) Grile of Fort Recovery, and Denise (James) Hyatt of St. Henry; her grandchildren, Desire (Travis) Ballard of Portland, Douglas Grile of Portland, Kayla Fullenkamp of Fort Recovery, and Brandon Fullenkamp of St. Henry; her step grandchildren, Heather Caughlin of Hopkinsville, Kentucky, Tiffany Sparks of Union City, Indiana, and Caden Hyatt of Celina; 6 great grandchildren; and her siblings, Greg (Angel) VanTrees of Celina, Donna VanTrees of Tiffin, Ohio, and Mark VanTrees of Fort Recovery.
Diana was a 1965 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. She continued her education at the Indiana Business College where she earned her associate degree. Diana worked for Huffy Bicycle in Celina in administration until they closed. She was a member of the Women of the Moose in Celina, the Fort Recovery VFW, and the Order of the Eastern Star. Diana was also a member of the Fort Recovery Zoning Board. In her free time, Diana enjoyed baking, doing cross stitch, gardening, and riding her beloved trike motorcycle.
A celebration of Diana's life will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, September 23, 2023, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, with Pastor Troy Drayer officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Diana's family on Friday, September 22, 2023, from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Kidney Foundation of Ohio, 2831 Prospect Avenue Cleveland, OH 44115.
