Timothy G. Young, 56, of Rockford, OH passed away in the eve of Friday October 13, 2023 at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima, OH, following a brief bout with cancer. His loving wife was at his side.

He was born February 6, 1967 in Troy, OH to Richard and Dorothy (Sanders) Young. On May 26, 2001 he married Mitzie McKirby Young, who survives.

Also survived by: son Richard (Shelly) Young of Lima, OH; son Branden Young of Rockford, OH; son Daniel Young of Mendon, OH; 2 grandsons: Brantley Young and Gabe Young; brother Thomas (Amanda) Young of St. Marys, OH; brother Rob Caywood St. Marys, OH; brother Matt (Amy) Caywood of St. Marys, OH; sister Kathy (Bernie) Roessner of New Knoxville, OH; sister Deb Foster of Wilmington, SC; brother-in-law Brady (Miranda) McKirby of Mt. Orab, OH; sister-in-law Stephanie (Matt) Doyle of Celina, OH; sister-in-law Chelsie McKirby of West Union, OH; parents-in-law Ty and Cathy McKirby of West Union, OH; many nieces and nephews; numerous children that referred to him as "Pops."

Preceded in death by: father Richard Young; mother Dorothy Young-Caywood; brother Jeff Young (1978); brother David Young (2018).

He was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1985). Tim worked for Brookside Trucking in Maria Stein, OH from 2003 - 2013 and then worked for Ferguson Distribution Center in Celina, OH from 2013 - present. An avid automobile enthusiast, he was a member of the Excite Car Club, where he was known to other members as "Pops". He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and antique collecting with his family.

Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday October 28, 2023 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Chuck Snelling will officiate the services.

Visitation 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
