Light snow across the area early this morning will increase in coverage and intensity toward sunrise in the I-70 corridor. This band of moderate snow will push south affecting the Tri-State region by mid morning, eventually pushing south of the area by early to mid afternoon.
Snow amounts of 1-2 inches will common for a good portion of the area on grassy surfaces, with melting on concrete surfaces limiting accumulations. Main impacts are expected to be reduced visibilities and some slick spots on mainly bridges and overpasses.
Temperatures today will remain steady mainly in the upper 20s. These cold temperatures combined with gusty winds of 20-25 mph will result in wind chill values in the teens to lower 20s.
Motorists should exercise caution. Plan extra time for the Monday morning commute.

Edith Pleiman
Edith Leona (Poeppelman) Pleiman, Age 94, of S. Walnut Street, New Bremen, formerly of Louis Street, Fort Loramie, passed away peacefully of natural causes early Saturday morning, December 9, 2023, at the Joint Twp. District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys, Ohio.
She was born December 22, 1928, in Egypt, Ohio, to the late Clemens & Ida (Bruns) Poeppelman.
Surviving are three sons, William "Bill" & Lindsey Pleiman of Gainesville, FL, Gary J. & Deb Pleiman of Blaine, WA, and Patrick & Julie Pleiman of Charlotte, NC; nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one sister, Joan & Bill Schwieterman of Coldwater and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Poeppelman of Egypt along with numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by six siblings: Dolores & Vernon Meyer, Betty & Vernon Hoying, Erma & Fritz Hoying, Shirley & Ivo Gottemoeller, Mary Lou & Ron Oldiges and Clem Jr. & Mary Poeppelman.
Edith was retired from the Shelby Co. Clerk of Courts office. She had been a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Ann's Ladies Sodality and the Minster Eagles Auxiliary. Edith enjoyed listening to music, dancing, and especially visiting with family and friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:30 AM, Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. Andrew Reckers presiding.
Inurnment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Wednesday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
