Widespread fog has developed this morning. Some patchy dense fog is also being observed. Motorists are advised to prepare for quickly changing conditions with visibilities reduced below a quarter mile in some locations. The fog will slowly improve by mid to late morning.
When encountering fog, be sure to turn on low beam headlights, slow down, and increase following distance.

Joseph Rose
Joseph Rose, age 89 of Coldwater, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024 at the Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus.
He was born April 3, 1934 in St. Henry to the late Roman & Marie (Leistenschneider) Rose. On September 27, 1958 he married Madonna (Wenning) Rose at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, Montezuma.
Joe is survived by his loving wife, Madonna (Coldwater); five children & their spouses: Robert & Connie Rose (Coldwater), Jean and Marvin Homan (St. Henry), Dan & Michelle Rose (Coldwater), Donald & Linda Rose (Celina), and Joseph & Kimberly Rose (Coldwater); sixteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and siblings and in-laws: Regina Hemmelgarn (Piqua), Rita & John Schmitmeyer (Coldwater), Juneta Rose (Dayton), Lucy Rose (Celina), Margie Rose (Coldwater), Irene Rose (St. Henry), Mark Wenning (St. Henry) and Barb Wenning (McCartyville).
Preceding Joe in death are siblings and in-laws: Paul & Margaret Rose, Luke & Edna Rose, Herman Rose, Eleanor & John Hake, Carl Rose, Frederick Rose, Alfred Rose, Berdella & Leonard Hemmelgarn, and Elmer Hemmelgarn, Julietta & Ralph Muhlenkamp, Isadore & Alberta Wenning, Norbert & Betty Wenning, Rosemary & Cornelius Muhlenkamp, Rita & Dick Wenning, Hilda & Carl Axe, Fred & Alma Moeller, Martha & H.F. Rawley, Louis & Mary Moeller, Virginia & Harry Streaker, Bernice & Ralph Barge, Kenneth & Marcy Wenning, Velma Wenning, and Joan Wenning.
Joe was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater, where he once served as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Employed by New Idea, Joe retired after forty-six years and farmed an additional twenty years. Joe provided leadership as a charter member of the Mercer County Pork Producers and produced swine seed stock. He generously gave of his time as a 4-H advisor for twenty years and as a volunteer at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, February 16 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10 a.m. Friday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
