Southwest winds will increase this morning with the passage of a strong cold front. Southwest winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 to 45 mph expected this morning into the afternoon before diminishing toward evening.
These gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects.

Mary Bernard
Mary E. Bernard, age 94 of Minster, Ohio, died on Saturday March 2, 2024 VanCrest St. Marys.
She was born on December 26, 1929 in Ft. Loramie, Ohio to the late Albert & Ida (Mertz) Gaier. On October 7, 1950 at St. Michael Catholic Church, Ft. Loramie, she married Merlin Bernard, who preceded her in death on February 4, 2015.
She is survived by her three sons and their wives: Gary & Marge Bernard, Viera, FL, Bill & Cheri Bernard, Minster, Bob & Jeanne Bernard, Zionsville, IN, 12 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a great granddaughter, 5 brothers & sisters-in-law: Paul & Dettie Gaier, Urban & Rita Gaier, Vernon & Marianne Gaier, Alfred & Pat Gaier, Bill & Jane Gaier, four sisters & brothers-in-law: Alberta & Basil Barga, Mildred & Leo Sherman, Rita & Norb Ripploh, Ida Mae Gaier, in-laws: George & Gertrude Bernard, Stan & Adelle Bernard, Mary & Leo Buehler.
Mary was a graduate of Ft. Loramie High School. She worked as a clerk/typist at the Monarch Machine Tool Co. in Sidney after graduation. She enjoyed baking and gardening as well as working on the family farm with her husband. Mary enjoyed playing cards and games with her family and friends.
She also enjoyed The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Purdue Boilermakers, and the Cincinnati Reds. She was a member St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, where she had been a religion teacher. She was former president of the former St. Monica Sodality and the C. L. C. She was also a member of the Shelby County Farm Bureau.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 AM on Friday, March8, 2024 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Minster on Thursday, March 7, 2024 from 4 to 7 PM and on Friday, March 8 from 9:00 to 9:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital and Grand Lake Hospice.
