  With Riley Rismiller and Jenna Leugers graduating after the 2022-23 season, the Cavaliers needed a new sparkplug for their offense, and more often than not, it was Becca Wenning.

  Wenning brought plus defense on the perimeter, but it was mainly her scoring that boosted Coldwater. As a threat to drive to the basket or shoot from outside, she drew the attention of opposing coaches and was often shadowed by top defenders.

  Wenning recorded 14 double-digit games, including a stretch of four straight 20-plus point games around the New Year. The third of those, against Lima Central Catholic, saw her add her name to the Coldwater record books, as she scored 41 points to break Joan Wenning's 44-year-old single-game record of 37.
