A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

Mary Ahrns
Mary "Sharon" (Davis) Ahrns, Age 82, of W. Second Street, Minster, passed away peacefully of natural causes Thursday morning, May 2, 2024, at Elmwood Assisted Living of New Bremen, Ohio.
She was born May 29, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, to the late William & Anna (Yancik) Davis. On July 3, 1964, at Portland, IN, Sharon married Charles "David" Ahrns who preceded her in death on December 27, 2002. Surviving are two children, Gregory & Kristine Ahrns of Minster and Nicole "Nikki" Beetsch of Dexter, MI; grandchildren: Gregory Ahrns of Jacksonville, FL, Vanessa & Christopher Schwartz of Celina, Blake Ahrns of Celina, Brooke & Royce Goubeaux of Minster and Kyle & Deanna Levengood of Scottsdale, AZ, along with great-grandchildren: Lucy and Maria Schwartz, Drew Ahrns, Bekett and Boston Goubeaux, Rylan and Logan Levengood; one sister Gail & James Oldiges Bellefontaine as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by three siblings: Edwin & Mary Lou Davis, Elaine & Ted Clawson and Martin Davis as well as sisters & brothers-in-law: Lois & Bud Wagner, Virginia & Max McConnell, Dorothy "Alice" & Jim Leiss, William & Arlene Ahrns and Alton Ahrns.
Sharon was a dedicated homemaker and had also been a nurse's assistant at Heritage Manor Nursing Center in Minster. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church and the Minster Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Sharon especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and great-grandkids as well as thrift shopping with her friends.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 9:30 AM, Saturday, May 11, 2024, at St. Augustine Church in Minster with Rev. Kenneth Alt presiding. Interment will follow at St. Augustine Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Agape Ministries of St. Marys, OH. Sharon's family would like to express their sincere appreciation for the caring staff at Elmwood Assisted Living and of Grand Lake Hospice.
