COLDWATER - Village councilors on Monday night agreed to purchase two McDonald's properties on Terrace Avenue with the intention of then selling them to buyers who plan to turn them into new businesses.
After returning from a 21-minute executive session to discuss land and personnel, councilors unanimously authorized village administrator/ engineer Eric Thomas to purchase the former McDonald's restaurant and former bank. [More]
Minster, New Bremen ride stellar starts to district final

WAPAKONETA - Minster and New Bremen both leaned on their ace pitchers to set up a Midwest Athletic Conference rematch in the Division IV district final.
The Cardinals just had to withstand a little more drama.
New Bremen answered Ada's two-run sixth with a sacrifice fly in the seventh to score the winning run behind Alayna Ross, beating the Bulldogs 3-2 in the second district semifinal on Monday at Wapakoneta's Mercy Health Field. [More]

Legislation would allow residents to raise chickens, bees in city limits
CELINA - City councilors appear to generally support the idea of permitting residents to raise chickens and bee on their properties, directing city administrators to produce legislation for consideration.
NEW BREMEN - Village councilors on Monday awarded a $219,520 contract to Baumer Construction of Minster to remodel the restrooms and add an adult changing table at the west shelter house in Bremenfest Park.
