Joan Catherine Collins, 67, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at St. Rita Medical Center in Lima, Ohio.

She was born on February 20, 1957, in Mercer County, to the late George and Vera (Nead) Walls.

Joan is survived by her husband of 36 years, Marvin Collins, whom she married on May 15, 1987; her daughter, Kimberly (Shaun) Williams of Wendelin; her step-grandchildren, Hunter and Liliana; and her in-laws, Mike Collins of Portland, Pat (Mike) Muhlenkamp of Portland, Tom (Berta) Collins of Ansonia, Don Collins of Coldwater, Anna (Ed) Gaskill of Portland, Bill (Carol) Collins of Ohio, Mary Collins of Celina, Charlie (Jackie) Collins of Ossian, Indiana, and Brenda Walker of Fort Recovery.

In addition to her parents, Joan was preceded in death by her sister, Marilyn (Fred) Fellers; and her in-law, Richard Collins.

Joan was a 1975 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. She worked for Vonderharr Meat Market in Fort Recovery for many years until she retired. She enjoyed going to the American Legion and socializing with others. Joan was known for her love of soap operas, Elvis, and being with her family. Joan was easy-going and had a gentle and loving heart.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery, with Father Michael Kapolka celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Guests may visit with Joan's family on Monday, May 20, 2024, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. and again on Tuesday from 9 a.m. until 10 a.m. at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.

Memorial contributions may be given to Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
