CELINA- Fresh off of a successful reopening of the Riley House last weekend, Mercer County Historical Society President Bill Vondrell is excited for the museum's future.
George Struckman bought the first automobile, a horseless carriage, in Mercer County around 1900. He kept most of the steam threshing operation in this area in running order, and his horseless carriage also was a steam-driven conveyance.
