Hydroplane boat racing is resurrected

CELINA - A group of Celina men are working to revive the once popular Governor's Cup Regatta from June 21-22, 2025, on Grand Lake.
Scott Anderson, a fan of motorsports who got his entry into the hydroplane racing while volunteering for the Governor's Cup Regatta starting in 1995, made the announcement on A.P.B.A (American Power Boat Association) Inboard Hydroplane Facebook page this week. [More]

Chilcoats intend to take plea agreement
CELINA- A Celina couple facing multiple federal charges stemming from the Jan. 6 insurrection at the United States Capital indicated at an in-person status hearing on Thursday that they intend to accept a plea agreement with the U.S. government.
Board OKs $71K for playground
CHICKASAW - The ball diamond will be renovated and a rubber surface installed at the playground at VFW Park thanks to a $71,000 earmark in the state capital budget.
