Snow showers will continue this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust from 20 to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of one-half inch to 2 inches. Visibility will be restricted at times in the heavier showers.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Steven Jones
Steven L. Jones Sr., age 72, of Mendon, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, at his residence.
He was born May 8, 1952, in Corona, California. His parents, Clifford Morgan Jones and Neva Rae (Phillips) Jones, are both deceased.
Married on November 11, 1973, Steve is survived by his wife, Sherolyn Martin Jones. Their daughter, Natalie (Willie) Jones Tobe of Fort Recovery, and son, Steven L. Jones Jr. (Branden Newland) of Spencerville, also survive, along with 8 grandchildren: Katherine, Zachary, Miranda, Blayne, Lukas, Dylan, Noah, and Landon; 4 great-grandchildren: Jackson, Brinley, Theo, and Malachi, plus one on the way; his brother and sister: Thomas (Lynne) Jones of Michigan and Deanna Prusha of California; mother-in-law, Marge Martin of Fort Recovery; son-in-law, Wendell "Shane" Robbins; and many nieces & nephews.
A daughter, Alisha Jones Robbins, passed away on April 5, 2017; and his father-in-law, Richard Martin, also preceded him in death.
After attending Norco High School in California, Steve served with the U.S. Army, and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. While living in California, he had worked for FST Sand & Gravel, and later was employed as the sand and gravel foreman at Con-Ag Inc., St. Marys. He had also worked as a locksmith. A disabled veteran, Steve was a life member of Celina VFW Post #5713, and a member of VVA Chapter #773 (Vietnam Veterans of America), Celina. He was a computer buff, who designed websites on his own. Steve enjoyed flying remote-controlled planes. He was also mechanical, and liked working on cars. Steve was an excellent cook, and loved to prepare meals for his family.
No Services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions may be made to The Cancer Association of Mercer County, or any Veteran's Association.
