Special Weather Statement issued January 14 at 2:54PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Periods of light snow will occur this evening and through the overnight. While accumulating snow is expected to end before Thursday morning, falling temperatures and light snow accumulations of one to two inches will result in slick travel tonight and early Thursday.
Slick spots can be expected on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses. If traveling, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for wintery driving conditions.
In addition to the snowfall, falling temperatures combined with increased winds will result in feels-like temperatures near zero Thursday morning. If heading outdoors, dress in multiple layers.
Special Weather Statement issued January 14 at 11:27AM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
A band of snow showers will drop into the region from northern Indiana, and push through the region through the afternoon. Some snow showers could produce a quick light coating of snow on elevated surfaces and bridges. Visibility may also be briefly reduced to a half mile or even less. Northwest winds will also gust up to 30 MPH.
Lighter snowfall will continue into the evening behind the initial band of snow showers, with accumulations from a few tenths to isolated accumulations of up to an inch.
Motorists should exercise caution and be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

David Shouse
David Paul Shouse, 63, of Celina, Ohio, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 2nd at Lima Memorial Hospital. He was blessed to have been visited by countless family and friends in the hours leading up to his passing, just as he would have wanted.
Dave was born on May 18, 1961, to Buddy and Vernedia (Little) Shouse and grew up in Springboro, Ohio with his siblings. In 1984, Dave moved to Celina, Ohio and married Kimberly Shouse later that same year. They were blessed with almost 41 years of marriage.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, as well as his brothers, Euless Jean, Jim and Charles Shouse; sisters, Jutta Karin Miosga and Wendy Asbury; sister-in-law Deborah Sowders; father-in-law Hershel Sowders; and loving K-9 companions Barney and Jasper.
He is survived by his wife, Kim Shouse (Sowders) of Celina; brother Randy Shouse of Celina; sister Joy Coppock of Kingsport, Tennessee; brother and sister-in-law Jim and Jane Sweigart (Sowders) of Cincinnati; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
Dave had an ornery streak that was unmatched, which brought joy to everyone around him. But more than anything, Dave was passionate about sharing his Christian faith and the goodness of Jesus. He never missed an opportunity to share his testimony about how God changed his life for the better. While Dave leaves behind a family who loved him dearly, we rest assured knowing that he is rejoicing in heaven.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th, 2025, at Calvary Christian Fellowship in St. Marys, Ohio at 12pm, with Pastor Jim Sweigart officiating. Visitors may call from 10am-12pm at the church. In honor of Dave's love for sports, the family invites you to wear your favorite team apparel or feel free to dress casually.
Dave chose to be cremated and laid to rest at a later date with his beloved wife.
In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to Dave's funeral fund at https://gofund.me/136bb333 or donate to The Call Food Pantry in Celina, Ohio.
