Betty Ellis
Betty June Ellis, age 87 of Celina, passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025 at the Celina Manor Nursing Home. She was born on January 22, 1938 to the late Vernon and Violet (Dillon) Thomas in Lima. On May 1, 1955, she married, Marvyn "Chuck" Ellis, who passed away on December 23, 2004.
She is survived by her loving children Rebecca (Scott) Miller of Delphos, Vicki Goff of Celina, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, daughter-in-law Louanna Ellis of Celina, siblings Marilyn Miller of Celina, John (Patricia) Harrod of Celina, Dan (Dorothy) Harrod of Celina and Rick (Pat) Harrod of Celina and brother-in-law Jim Now of Celina.
In addition to her parents and husband, Betty is preceded in death by her daughter Theresa Ellis, sons Stephen Ellis, John "Doug" Ellis, son-in-law Dennis Goff and sister Pat Now.
Betty graduated from Celina High School with the class of 1956. She was a member of the Nazarene and the Wabash Church of Christ. She was formerly employed at Huffy's in Celina and as a Nurse's Aide in Celina and Rockford.
Funeral services will be held at 11:30 A.M. on Monday, May 12, 2025 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Pastor Randy Christian officiating. Burial will follow in the Zion State Line Cemetery.
