WILLSHIRE - One of the best Memorial Day displays around will open from 9 a.m.-6 p.m. Saturday-Monday a little over 2 miles northwest of the Mercer-Van Wert county line at Willshire Home Furnishings.
The display is set to feature around 160 U.S. service uniforms, along with photographs, artifacts and other memorabilia from the Civil War, World War I, World War II, the Korean War, the Vietnam War and Operation Desert Storm. [More]
Celina wins ninth straight game to open postseason play

CELINA - When Shawnee managed its first hit and run in the fourth inning of Tuesday's Division III sectional baseball semifinal, Celina shrugged it off, a change from times earlier in the season when such a play could have led to a breakdown.
But the Bulldogs made sure that was all the Indians would get as Brady Steinbrunner pitched a one-hitter to beat Shawnee 5-1 to advance to Thursday's district final against another fellow Western Buckeye League foe, Wapakoneta. [More]

Wapakoneta's Addison Fisher was named Western Buckeye League Softball Player of the Year for the second consecutive season.
