Ronald Schallenberg
Ronald Lee Schallenberg, 65, of St. Marys, OH died 4:45 p.m. Sunday August 3, 2025 at his residence, surrounded by his loving family.
He was born May 23, 1960 in St. Marys, OH to the late Donald and Evelyn (Fisher) Schallenberg. He married Tammy J. Slife, who survives, on September 17, 1982 at Holy Redeemer Church and they shared 42 incredible years together.
He is survived by his children: son Ryan Schallenberg of St. Marys, OH; daughter Cassi (Ryan McDonald) Schallenberg of St. Marys, OH; son Ethan Schallenberg of St. Marys, OH; and 3 grandchildren: Gage Fowler, Caitlin (Seth) McCune and Haylee Schallenberg.
He is also survived by a sister Donna (Robert) Houser of Van Wert, OH; brother Ricky (Tina) Schallenberg of St. Marys, OH; brother Randy Schallenberg; and brother Donald Schallenberg, Jr. of Rockford, OH.
Ron was a 1978 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School. He retired from Excel Machine & Tool, Inc. in Coldwater, OH where he worked as a toolmaker. An avid sports fan, he followed St. Marys Roughriders on the radio every Friday night by a bonfire. He enjoyed watching Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and never missed a Reds game. He was a firm supporter of President Trump. Above all else, he treasured the weekends on the farm with his kids and grandkids as well as attending their sporting events.
Funeral Rites are scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. Thursday August 7, 2025 at the Miller Funeral Home 1605 Celina Road (Ohio 703 West) in St. Marys. Pastor Parker Miley will officiate the services.
Visitation will be 4 - 7 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
