William Slone
William R. Slone, 66, of New Knoxville, Ohio, died 10:56 A.M. Saturday, August 16, 2025, at his residence.
He was born July 12, 1959, in Saint Marys, the son of Ray and Judy (Sullivan) Slone. He married Vicky Spangler on June 20, 1980, at the Calvary Chapel Baptist Church in Minster.
He is survived by his wife, Vicky, of New Knoxville; by his mother, Judy Slone of New Knoxville; by his children: Laura Slone of Saint Marys; Michael (Stephanie) Slone of New Knoxville. He is also survived by his granddaughters: Erika Powers; Amelia Slone; Haisley Slone and Casey Slone; by his siblings: Annette (Jerry) Wolfe of New Knoxville; Greg Slone of Lugoff, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Bill was a 1977 graduate of New Knoxville High School. He retired from Honda of America in Anna and he was a lifelong member of Calvary Chapel Baptist Church in Minster. He loved taking his granddaughters for golf cart rides, mowing his grass and just about anything outdoors.
Funeral rites will be held 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 22, 2025, at Calvary Chapel Baptist Church, 71 North Hamilton Street, Minster, Pastor Bob Warnock, officiant. Burial will follow at Pilger Ruhe Cemetery, New Knoxville.
Friends may call from 5-8 P.M. Thursday at Calvary Chapel in Minster, where memorial gifts may be made to the church.
