CELINA - A Fort Recovery couple was hit with 101 felony charges for allegedly stealing money and checks from an elderly person and committing forgery.
A Mercer County grand jury Thursday indicted Daniel E. and Lori M. Secrest each on 101 criminal counts, including a pair of third-degree felonies for stealing from a person in a protected class - an elderly person. [More]

2 meetings to aid enrollment in H2O

COLUMBUS - Gov. Mike DeWine's Property Tax Reform Working Group held its ninth meeting on Thursday, and began to reach consensus on items to be included in the final report of recommendations, which is due Sept. 30, according to a Friday newsletter from the County Commissioners Association of Ohio.
VAN WERT - OhioHealth Van Wert Hospital has completed a $3.15 million expansion of its pharmacy, nearly doubling its size.
In a news release, OhioHealth said the expansion strengthens the hospital's ability to deliver safe, efficient, and advanced care for patients.

NEW BREMEN - A game-opening kickoff return touchdown by New Bremen had fans wondering if the Cardinals would be able to snap Marion Local's streak.

Shawnee scored 21 unanswered points to overcome an early Celina score and capture a 35-21 victory over the Bulldogs in Western Buckeye League football action on Friday at Shawnee Stadium in Shawnee Township.
ROSSBURG - Aaron Reutzel left Eldora Speedway in the back of an ambulance back in July during Kings Royal weekend after a horrifying crash.
Reutzel suffered a broken foot in the crash and missed over a month of racing season.
