* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.
* WHERE...The following counties, in west central Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Hardin, Logan, Miami and Shelby.
* WHEN...Until 1030 PM EDT.
* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 724 PM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain has fallen. Additional rainfall amounts up to 0.5 inches are possible. - Some locations that may experience flooding include... Troy, Sidney, Piqua, Bellefontaine, Kenton, Ada, West Milton, Versailles, Covington, Newport, Bradford, Anna, Fort Loramie, Jackson Center, Forest, Russells Point, De Graff, Pleasant Hill, Botkins and Lakeview.

Jon Burckholter
Jon Phillip Burckholter, age 65, passed away at his residence in Upatoi, GA, on August 4, 2025.
Jon was born on April 21, 1960, in Mariemont, OH, to Walter R. and Mary Lois (Samsel) Burckholter. He graduated in 1978 from Celina High School and worked as store manager for Foot Locker in Corpus Christi, TX; Birmingham, AL; and Orlando, FL, before starting his own company, Eagle Bay, in Columbus, Ga., with his business partner and long time friend, Raymond Blair.
Jon was an avid golfer and in recent years enjoyed his restored 1969 Pontiac Firebird, Stella.
Jon is survived by his mother, Mary Lois Burckholter, Celina; his siblings Michael (Diana) Burckholter, Sidney; Brian (Joyce) Burckholter, Van Wert; Brad (Teresa) Burckholter, Celina; Caprice R. Burckholter, Lima, Chris (Marie) Burckholter, Celina.
Also surviving are seven nieces and nephews; Sean (Tracy), Brett (Margrett), Angela, Tabatha (Isaac), Jacob (Tasha), Adam, Zach (Hannah), Nick (Brittney); 10 great nieces and nephews, as well as his business partner and close friend, Ray Blair.
Jon was preceded in death by his father, Walter R. Burckholter.
There will be a celebration of life and open house on Saturday, October 25, 2025 from 1-4 p.m. at the Hopewell Grange Hall at the Mercer County Fairgrounds, 1001 W. Market St., Celina, OH. Please join us to share your memories of Jon with his family and friends.
Jon will be laid to rest privately.
