Ronald Homan
Ronald (Ron) Homan, age 66, passed away at his home in Russia surrounded by his loving family at 5:32 pm on September 30, 2025.
He was born on November 16, 1958 in Coldwater, to the late Leonard and Alice (Pleiman) Homan. He married Joan (Groff) Homan in Russia, on September 12, 1981 and she survives.
He is also survived by his 3 children and 13 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Josh Homan of Trenton, Ohio, Ashley and Travis Goubeaux of Russia, and Roni and Luke Bertke of Maria Stein. Grandchildren: Emma Homan, Sydney and Ryan Forbush, Brianna Martin, Maddox, Paxson, Annie, Simon, Marin, and August Goubeaux, Adeline, Charlotte, Louis, and Leo Bertke. 1 great grandchild, Willow Meseroll.
Also surviving are his siblings and in-laws. Skip and Lori Homan of Maria Stein, Roger Homan and Verna Howell of Minster, Roy Homan and Darlene Dalgo of Perrysburg, and Rob and Michelle Homan of Maria Stein. Carole and the late Michael Groff of Findlay, Vicki and Doug Swindell of Troy, Ohio, Carla and Tom Briggs of Piqua, Ann and David Fullenkamp of Versailles, and Andi and Steve Layman of Centerville.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Alice (Pleiman) Homan, his in- laws Joseph and Ruth (Sonderman) Groff, brother-in-law Michael Groff.
Ron began Homan and Stucke Construction in 1981 where he worked for nearly 40 years until his retirement in 2020. He was a generous, hard-working man who helped so many people during his life.
His greatest joys in life were his grandchildren and Norris Lake where he spent every summer for over 30 years. He will be deeply missed by all those who knew him.
Ron was a member of St. Remy Catholic Church in Russia.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, October 6, 2025 at St. Remy Catholic Church with burial to held at a later date.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster from 1 to 4 PM on Sunday, October 5, 2025 and from 9 to 10 AM on Monday.
