Janice Muhlenkamp
It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Janice Muhlenkamp, a woman whose zest for life was as boundless as her love for others.
Janice E. Muhlenkamp, age 83, of Celina, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 24, 2025, at Mercer Health in Coldwater. She was born on December 29, 1941, in Coldwater, to the late Paul and Edna (Rosengarten) Ebbing. On March 2, 1957, she married the love of her life, Daniel H. Muhlenkamp, and he survives at their home in Celina.
She is also survived by her children, Mack (Becky) Muhlenkamp of Medina, Cindy (David) Langenkamp of Celina, Leisa (Edmund) Hettesheimer of Celina, and Dennis (Pam) Muhlenkamp of Coldwater; nine beloved grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren; and three brothers, Gary (Liz) Ebbing of Bath, David (Janice) Ebbing of Coldwater, and Don (Diane) Ebbing of Coldwater.
Janice was a proud member of the Coldwater High School Class of 1959. She dedicated many years to her career as a school bus driver for both St. Marys and Celina City Schools. She took great pride in her work and loved every moment of safely driving her students to and from school.
A lifelong member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Janice's faith was a cornerstone of her life.
Jan was the kind of person who truly lived - she loved exploring new places, traveling, gardening, and could never resist the thrill of a good garage sale. But more than anything, she had a passion for people. Whether it was her coworkers, the kids on her school bus, her many friends, or her family, Jan made everyone feel seen, valued, and loved. She never forgot a face and delighted in figuring out how she knew someone - a gift that made her world feel wonderfully connected.
Her greatest joy, though, came from being "Grandma." She was her grandchildren's biggest fan, never missing a single game, concert, or event - no matter how hot the bleachers or how cold the wind. You could always spot her in the crowd, cheering the loudest, beaming with pride.
Full of energy, laughter, and love, Jan was hard to keep up with - and that's exactly how she liked it. She was the heart of her family, a bright light to all who knew her, and truly the epitome of the perfect grandma.
She will be deeply missed, but her spirit - full of warmth, adventure, and kindness - will live on in every life she touched.
