She was born on August 22, 1959, in Coldwater, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Lois (Chambers) Slorp. On February 14, 2012, she married the love of her life, Greg Thompson, who survives at their home in Celina.
Nancy is also survived by her sisters, Sue (Dennis) Gehle of Celina and Brenda (Bill) Jenkins of Huntsville, Ohio; brothers- and sisters-in-law, James Thompson of Kenton, Larry Thompson of Dayton, Don Thompson of Celina, and Linda (Elmer) Steiner of Dayton; along with many cherished nieces, nephews, her beloved pets, and the many clients she cared for throughout the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth and Lois, who instilled in her the values of kindness and compassion that defined her life.
Nancy retired from CHP Home Care & Hospice in Celina after more than 25 years of dedicated service - a role she took great pride in, providing care and comfort to countless clients and their families. She also worked for many years at Garwick's Pet Center in Mendon as a groomer, where she built lasting relationships with both her clients and their pets.
A true animal lover, Nancy found joy in caring for her pets, tending to her flowers and bird feeders, and spending time outdoors. She especially loved sharing laughter and memories with her family and friends.
A gathering of family and friends will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina. A private memorial service will take place at the conclusion of the gathering.
