Local veterans and their families were honored during a Veterans Day assembly at Parkway Local Schools on Tuesday morning. The program featured a series of student performances, including the presentation of the colors, the singing of patriotic songs like "God Bless the USA," speeches reflecting on the meaning of patriotism and the playing of the "Armed Forces Medley."
