Southerly winds will increase today ahead of an approaching cold front. Sustained winds of 15 to 25 mph can be expected with gusts of 35 to 45 mph at times this afternoon. Be sure to secure outdoor objects.

James Schwartz
James H. Schwartz, 81, of rural Spencerville, OH died Friday December 12, 2025 at his residence.
He was born August 14, 1944 in Logan Twp. - Auglaize Co., OH to Virgil and Martha (Cole) Schwartz. On August 18, 1962 in Spencerville, OH he married Donna Jane Knapp, who died May 6, 2019.
Survivors include son Kevin (Deborah) Schwartz of Spencerville, OH; son Ronald (Lori) Schwartz of Wapakoneta, OH; son Douglas (Amy) Schwartz of Spencerville, OH; grandchildren: April (Philip O'Neill) Evans, Austin (Jenaye) Schwartz, Ashley Schwartz, Kyle (Shelby) Schwartz, Trenton Schwartz, Andy (Crystal) Schwartz, Amanda (Andrew) Kelliher, Abigail (Colton) Eutsler; 4 great-grandchildren: Emma Evans, Jana Schwartz, Oaklyn Schwartz, Walker Schwartz; brother Mark (LouAnn) Schwartz of Spencerville, OH; brother-in-law Paul (Sandy) Knapp of Germantown, OH; sister-in-law Rudite Knapp of Monroe, OH; sister-in-law Audrey Schwartz of Spencerville, OH; and nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by parents Virgil and Martha Schwartz; wife Donna "Jane" Schwartz; great-granddaughter Josie Elizabeth Schwartz; brother Stanley Schwartz; brother-in-law Ivan Knapp, Jr.; sister-in-law Grace (Paul) Wein; sister-in-law Betty (Gary) Wessel; and infant sister-in-law Loma Knapp.
He was a graduate of Spencerville High School (Class of 1962). James farmed and drove semi-truck for many years. In addition, he operated Schwartz Sawmill in rural Spencerville, specializing in the production of wooden pallets. His favorite pastimes included woodworking, restoring and maintaining his FORD 8N tractor and relaxing on his front porch while he waved as people drove past his home.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday December 18, 2025 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Pastor Andrew Atkins will officiate the services.
Visitation 2 - 5 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
