Timothy Hemleben
Timothy "Tim" "Hemi" E. Hemleben, age 68, of Saint Marys, Ohio, died Sunday, December 21, 2025, at his residence.
He was born May 7, 1957, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the son of Theodore and Helen (Frost) Hemleben.
Tim is survived by his wife, Teresa "Teri" Hirschfeld, whom he married on May 29, 2016. He is also survived by his daughter, Danielle Hemleben of Wapakoneta, Ohio.
Tim attended St. Joseph Schools in Wapakoneta, where he served as a Mass server and commentator, and he graduated from Wapakoneta High School in 1975. He later attended The Ohio State University. Tim was employed by Cook's Plumbing, Moulton Gas Company, and RAM Hauling, and later served as a property manager.
Tim was skilled in a wide variety of trades and in operating equipment. He could build or fix nearly anything. He especially enjoyed restoring cars. A talented cook, Tim loved smoking and roasting meats and was well known for making his mother's carrot cake and his Christmas bread. He enjoyed working outdoors and spending time fishing. Tim and Teri shared a love of travel and explored many destinations together. They attended Grace Church in Saint Marys.
For the past 35 Christmas seasons, Tim donned his Santa suit and visited children throughout the area. He absolutely loved bringing joy to the lives of children and wore out three Santa suits over the years.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 17, 2026, at Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys. A celebration of Tim's life and memorial service will follow at 3:00 p.m. All are welcome to attend and share their favorite memories of Tim.
