Joyce Long
Joyce A. Long, age 73, of Celina, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on September 27, 1952, in Portland, Indiana, to the late Weldon and Lucille (Knoth) Van Skyock. On February 10, 1973, Joyce married the love of her life, Charles "Chuck" E. Long Jr., who survives at their home in Celina.
Also surviving are her children: Charles (Becky) Long III of Springboro, Chris Long of Celina, Chad Long of Dublin, and Craig (Sara) Long of Hilliard; her grandchildren, Ethan, Kaitlynn, Camden, Evan, Emma, Franklin, and twin grandchildren expected in March of 2026; her brothers, Jerry (Katherine) Adams of Cincinnati, Ronnie (Connie) Van Skyock of Fort Recovery, and Kevin Van Skyock of Ludlow Falls; along with many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Adams and Larry Van Skyock.
Joyce was a 1970 graduate of Fort Recovery High School and retired from Huffy Bicycle in Celina after many years of dedicated service. She was a faithful member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina.
Joyce enjoyed reading the newspaper, working crossword puzzles, spending time with her family, and taking trips to Kings Island, creating many cherished memories along the way.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina.
A funeral liturgy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Deacon Charlie Salway officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service.
A private graveside service will be held at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
