Betty Faller
Betty A. Faller (93) peacefully entered eternal rest on January 24, 2026, surrounded by her family. She was born on March 24, 1932 to Godfrey and Edith (Ankrom) Wallischeck in Portland, IN. On July 2, 1955, she married Richard 'Fritz' Faller, who passed away on January 5, 2017. They are the loving parents of Ann (Gary) Forsthoefel of Centerville, OH and Sam (Pam) Faller of Celina, OH who all survive.
Betty will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Ryan (Lalita) Forsthoefel, Wilder, KY; Jamie (David) Mead, Green Bay, WI; Lisa (Will) Enderle, Cincinnati, OH; Brenden Faller, Celina, OH; and her great grandchildren: Henry, Peyton, Connor, Sloane, Leo and Oliver;
She is also survived by two sister in-laws: Ginny Schwieterman and Kathleen Faller.
She was preceded in death by her siblings and spouses: Joe and Norma Wallischeck, Robert and Joan Wallischeck and Mary Jane and Russ Figert and In-laws: Edwin "Buss" and Aggie Faller, Harold "Boots" and Jeannette Faller, Ethel and Albert Jutte, Jim and Mary Faller, Ruth Ann and Robert Cross and Denny Schwieterman.
While in high school, Betty had the honor of being chosen to be an Indiana Statehouse Page to assist her state representative at the time. She also worked at the United Telephone Company and NAAS Foods as a switchboard operator and ended her career of 22 years at Coldwater Community Hospital, now known as Mercer Health.
Betty loved spending time with her family and friends and always enjoyed going to her grandchildren's sporting events. In her younger years, her hobbies were painting ceramics, collecting beanie babies and Fenton collectibles and she was famous to her grandchildren for making the best chocolate chip cookies. Her close circle of card club friends were also very important to her. She was a member of Holy Trinity Church in Coldwater and was deeply devoted to her faith, living each day with trust in God and kindness towards others. She always gave an encouraging word and loving smile to everyone she met.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at10:30 a.m. Monday, February 2, 2026 at Holy Trinity Church in Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery, Coldwater. Pallbearers are Ryan Forsthoefel, Brenden Faller, David Mead and Will Enderle.
Friends may call from 1 - 3 p.m. Sunday February 1, and from 9-10 a.m. Monday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater. Condolences may be left at hogenkampfh.com.
