Scattered snow showers will become more widespread through this afternoon and then likely linger into this evening before tapering off.
The snow showers will be capable of causing brief periods of reduced visibilities, especially this afternoon. In addition, brisk conditions will prevail with west winds gusting in the 30 to 40 mph range today.
Light snow accumulations will be possible, mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces. While roads will remain mostly wet during the daytime hours, some slick spots may develop toward sunset as temperatures begin to drop below freezing.
Please be prepared for the changing weather conditions today and the potential for reduced visibilities when driving.

David Arkenberg
David "Arky" Charles Arkenberg, age 69, of Eastview Drive, Fort Loramie, passed away peacefully of natural causes Saturday evening, February 14, 2026, at the Miami Valley Hospital South Campus in Centerville, Ohio.
He was born December 21, 1956, in Piqua, Ohio, to the late Bernard & Theresa (Richard) Arkenberg. Surviving are three children: Chad & Paige Arkenberg of Sidney, Kelli & Wayne Johnson of Anna and Cody & Amanda Arkenberg of Fort Loramie; six grandchildren: Gabrielle, Mason and Sadie Johnson, Norah and Jasper Arkenberg, and Baby Arkenberg awaiting arrival in June; three of five siblings: Linda & Jim Koverman of Anna, Ed & Annette Arkenberg of Sidney, Gene Arkenberg (dec.) & then fiancée, Pat Coll of Toledo, Joan "Jody" & Ed (dec.) Hartley of Covington and John Arkenberg (dec.) along with numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Mr. Arkenberg was a 1975 graduate of Fort Loramie High School, a life-long member of St. Michael Catholic Church and also belonged to Knights of St. John Commandery 300. In 2023, he retired from Clopay Corporation in Troy (formerly of Russia) where he had been employed for 47 years. He previously worked at Busse's Meat Market in Fort Loramie.
Arky was a devoted dad and grandpa. He appreciated all of the time that he could spend with his family. He was an avid fisherman with many favorite spots to revisit. Arky was a die-hard Bengals fan and had a lot of fun years ago playing softball for the "Seger's Astros". He is also known for keeping his cars clean and detailed whether they needed it or not.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM, Friday, February 20, 2026, at St. Michael Church in Fort Loramie with Rev. John Tonkin and Deacon Paul Timmerman presiding. Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery.
Family and friends may call Thursday, 4:00 to 7:00 PM and Friday 9:00 to 10:00 AM at Gehret Funeral Home in Fort Loramie.
Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or charities of choice.
