Donald Feltz
Donald "Red" E. Feltz, age 94, of Coldwater, passed away Friday, February 20, 2026 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born April 22, 1931 in Coldwater to the late Oscar & Anna (Heinrichs) Feltz. On November 6, 1954 in Chickasaw, he married Alice (Eyink) Feltz and she preceded him in death in 2010.
He is survived by children and in-laws, Mary Jane & Gary Koesters of Montezuma, Shirley Feltz of Savannah, Georgia, Daniel & Sandi Feltz of Coldwater, Janice & Robert Weigel of Montezuma, Steve & Carol Feltz of Coldwater, Diane & Charles Eilerman of Coldwater, Kevin Feltz of Felton, Delaware, and Keith & Rhonda Feltz of North Port, Florida, 21 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren, and siblings and in-laws, Barb Wenning of Coldwater, Kathy Feltz of Coldwater, Ken & Kathy Eyink of Coldwater, Mary Ann Gruss of Coldwater, Mary Eyink of New Bremen, and Bill Homan of Coldwater.
He was preceded in death by a great-granddaughter, Mia Vasquez, siblings and in-laws, Wilbur & Alice Feltz, Virginia & Earl Schlater, Harold Feltz, Tony & Betty Feltz, Ken Wenning, Eugene Boeckman, Vincent Gruss, Edgar & Rita Eyink, Viola Homan, Ernest Eyink, Thomas Eyink, and Esther Eyink.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He lived a long and happy life which included serving in the United States Army in Japan and Korea during the Korean War. He was employed at New Idea for 47 years and was also a realtor. He has 60 years of service in the American Legion at the local, district, state, and national level. He travelled extensively through the United States to attend National Conventions. Red was an avid fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes and Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. He was loved by and will be missed by many.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, February 25, 2026 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial with military rites will follow in St. Elizabeth Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2PM to 8PM on Tuesday and from 9AM to 10AM on Wednesday at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Coldwater.
