Scattered snow showers occurring across the area will slowly diminish through the evening. These snow showers will continue to cause brief reductions in visibility. In addition, as temperatures fall, the snow showers could produce a light coating of snow on roadways. This will result in the potential for some slick spots to develop. Motorists should be prepared for changing conditions this evening and exercise extra caution.

Dorothy Muhlenkamp
Dorothy Adelaide Muhlenkamp, 96, of Fort Recovery, passed away on March 13, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born at the family home on June 13, 1929, near St. Peter, Ohio, to the late Joseph and Mary (Steinbrunner) Westgerdes. Dorothy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. On May 7, 1949, in St. Joe, Ohio, she married Donald E. Muhlenkamp, who preceded her in death on May 6, 2017.
Dorothy is survived by her seven daughters: Linda (Carl) Guggenbiller of Celina, Shirley (Steve) Grevenkamp of St. Henry, Joyce (Mike) Lamm of Celina, Patricia Besecker of Polaris MT, Susan (John Goettemoeller) Huelsman of New Bremen, Janice (Steve) Adams of Coldwater, and Laura (Jeff) O'Dell of Fort Recovery. She is also survived by four sons: Edward (Tracy) Muhlenkamp of Greenville, Thomas Muhlenkamp of Fort Recovery, Ralph (Kathy) Muhlenkamp of New Weston, and Luke (Tammy) Muhlenkamp of New Weston.
Dorothy was blessed with a large and loving family including 36 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren, with three more on the way; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by her in-laws: Ruth Westgerdes of Fort Recovery; Mary Jane (Carl) Obringer of Fort Recovery; Ruth Hardin of Land O' Lakes, Florida; Patrick McClurg of Versailles; David (Marcia) Muhlenkamp of Fort Recovery; Connie Andrus of Dublin, Ohio; and Judy (Jerry) Schulze of Celina, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, Dorothy was preceded in death by her son-in-law, Daniel Besecker; daughter-in-law, Doris (Gehret) Muhlenkamp; and great-grandson, Andrew Neumayer. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Norbert (Mildred) Westgerdes, Julianna (Norbert) Wellman, Clarence Westgerdes, Wilbert (Marcella) Westgerdes, Andrew Westgerdes, Irene (Raymond) Kahlig, Rosella "Sally" (Robert) Muhlenkamp, Arnold (Viola) Westgerdes, and Naomi (Joseph) Maynard; as well as infant siblings Rolandis, Mary Agnes, and Mary Alice Westgerdes.
She was also preceded in death by her father and mother in-law, Edmund and Rosella Muhlenkamp; and other members of the Muhlenkamp family including infant Alice Muhlenkamp, Doris (Jerry) Schafer, Vera (Donald) Alig, Thelma (Dave) Barga, Virginia McClurg, Margaret and James Paulus, Kenneth and Carolyn Muhlenkamp, John Hardin, and Thomas Andrus.
Dorothy was a devoted homemaker who took great pride in her family and in the growth of the family farm. She loved all babies, both human and animal and was known as an excellent cook whose homemade bread, pies, and cakes were enjoyed by many. Dorothy will be remembered for her deep love of family, her strong faith, and the warmth she shared through her home, her cooking, and her caring heart.
She was a faithful member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Sharpsburg, where she was active in the church's Altar Rosary Sodality.
The family would like to thank the staff of Mercer Health, who so gently cared for Dorothy many times this past year. Special thanks to Dr. Jerry Boley and Dr. Alicia Tobe, who helped keep Dorothy in good health during her later years. The family also extends their gratitude to the staff of EverHeart Hospice for their endless care and guidance. A very special thank you is extended to Dorothy's caregivers, whose compassionate care allowed her to remain in the comfort of her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, March 18, 2026, at St. Paul Catholic Church in Sharpsburg, Ohio, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, and again from 9:00 to 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, Ohio.
Memorial contributions may be given to St. Paul Catholic Church.
