Parkway plates seven in sixth to get past Celina

CELINA - It took a bit of time for Parkway to answer Celina's opening runs.
When the Panthers finally did, they put the game away.
A seven-run sixth inning pushed Parkway ahead to remain unbeaten on the softball season with a 9-2 win over the Bulldogs in a battle of last season's Midwest Athletic Conference and Western Buckeye League champions at Jim Hoess Field on Thursday night. [More]

Bomb threat one of swatting incidents
PORTLAND, Ind. - Numerous law enforcement agencies descended on the Walmart store in Portland, Indiana, Thursday following a reported bomb threat.
Judge doesn't set date for ruling
CELINA - A visiting judge heard testimony in Mercer County Common Pleas Court Thursday morning as to whether or not juror misconduct prejudiced a sex offender's right to a fair trial last summer.
CELINA - A 59-year-old Celina man facing life in prison for alleged financial crimes had his bond lowered this week following a request from his attorney for the purpose of accumulating funds needed for eventual restitution.
CELINA - A 41-year-old Celina man pleaded guilty this month in Mercer County Common Pleas Court to seven counts of rape, consequently admitting that he engaged in forced sexual conduct with three girls aged 3-8 from 2012 to 2014.
CELINA - Early runs might have had the fans at Montgomery Field looking for a shootout, but Celina's pitching did enough while the offense picked up key hits late to give Celina a 5-1 win over Parkway Thursday night.
