Coldwater hosted Celina in a 7-on-7 football scrimmage practice on Tuesday evening. The teams were supposed to play Tuesday morning before rain prompted the delay to the drier and cooler evening. Seven-on-sevens feature players wearing just helmets with no other padding to work on offense and defense over a set amount of plays.

  Area teams will get a chance for more 7-on-7s before the first official day of practice on Aug. 1. The first Friday night of football is Aug. 21.
