Harold was born on July 21, 1944, in Portland, IN, to Florence and Viola (Wendeln) Franck. He grew up in Ohio and graduated from Fort Recovery High School before proudly serving his country in the United States Navy, where he became an electrician and was stationed aboard the USS Oriskany (CV-34) during the Vietnam era.
On February 19, 1965, Harold married the love of his life, Joyce Wenning, in Coldwater, OH. Together they shared more than six decades of marriage, building a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.
Following his military service, Harold moved to Indiana, where he farmed and worked as an electrician for Franklin Electric. In 1989, he moved to Powell, Wyoming, where he became a Master Electrician. He also worked as a bus driver for Park County School District #1. Harold was a hardworking man who took great pride in providing and caring for his family. Whether working on the farm, wiring homes and businesses, or safely transporting students, he approached every job with dedication, integrity, and a strong work ethic.
A devoted member of St. Barbara's Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, and the American Legion, Harold lived his faith daily. In his free time, he enjoyed horseback riding (especially with his mules), hunting, fishing, and traveling with his wife.
Harold relished spending time with his family, working with his hands, and sharing stories from his years in the Navy. He was a steady presence, a loyal friend, and a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Joyce Franck of Powell, WY; his children, Michelle Bost (Dennis) of Powell, WY; Ronald Franck (Kelly) of Ham Lake, MN; David Franck (Barbara) of Billings, MT; Steven Franck (Trena) of Powell, WY; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
