* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to Sunday evening.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 10:40 AM EDT Saturday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage this afternoon to a crest of 13.2 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage early tomorrow afternoon. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Thomas Jacobs
Thomas Alan Jacobs, 77, of Celina, passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026, at the EverHeart Hospice Care Center in Greenville.
He was born Sept.30, 1948, in Celina, to Arthur J. "Art" Sr. & Ruth L. (Alexander) Jacobs.
Tom and Susan Purdy were married on May 30, 1976, in Celina.
Sue survives, along with their sons Ron (Sandy) Jacobs of Rockford and Dan (Shayna) Jacobs of Mendon, as well as nine grandchildren, Caleb (Sarah) Jacobs, Faith Jacobs, Madison Jacobs, Samantha Jacobs, Savannah Jacobs, Alexis Jacobs, Zach Jacobs, Jase Jacobs and Letti Dugan. A great-granddaughter Kolbie Jane Jacobs, and a special friend of the family, Luke Vannette.
Also surviving are brothers-in-law & sisters-in-law, Terry August of Celina; John & Gail Purdy of Palm Springs, CA; Jerry Purdy of Fort Wayne; Mary Irish of Cincinnati; and Barbara Jean Purdy of Celina.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother & sister-in-law Arthur James "Jim" Jr. & Sonia Jacobs; brother, Robert Jacobs; sister & brother-in-law, Patty & Bob Bullock; and his sister, Linda August, Sue's parents LeRoy & Doris (Rhoades) Purdy, and her brother James Purdy, and sister-in-law Mary Kay Purdy.
A 1967 graduate of Celina Senior High School, Tom was a Veteran of the U.S. Army, having served during the Vietnam War as a machine gunman on a helicopter.
He had been employed as a supervisor in the manufacturing industry.
Tom's pastimes were logging in the winter, doing concrete work in the summertime, and he drove truck part time.
