Neal Wurster
Neal F. Wurster, age 83, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, at 8:50 a.m. at Joint Township District Memorial Hospital in St. Marys. He was born on March 25, 1943, in Celina, to the late Orville and Margaret (Moorman) Wurster. On May 12, 1960, he married Shyla (Linn) Wurster, and together they shared 66 wonderful years of marriage. Shyla survives at their residence in Celina.
Together, Neal and Shyla had three sons, Todd (Cindy) Wurster of Celina, the late Troy Wurster, and Tim Wurster of Celina. Neal is also survived by two grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Wurster of Troy and Brandon (Brittany) Wurster of Celina; three great-grandchildren, Chase and Natalie Wurster, and Evan Wurster; and three nephews, Terry Wurster and Jerry Wurster, both of Celina, and Doug Trafzer of St. Marys.
In addition to his parents, Neal was preceded in death by his son, Troy Wurster; his brother, John (Joy) Wurster; and his sister, Joyce Trafzer.
Neal was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent 33 years with E & L Transport out of Dearborn, Michigan, hauling new Ford vehicles before his retirement. He took great pride in his work and the many years he spent on the road.
Outside of work, Neal found happiness in life's simple pleasures. He loved being outdoors, especially spending time on his lawn mower and tractor, keeping his yard looking its best. Whether he was mowing, working around the property, or simply enjoying a quiet afternoon sitting on the front porch with Shyla, Neal appreciated the comforts of home and the life they had built together. Those peaceful moments and the time spent with his family were among the things he treasured most.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2026, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Rev. Adam Poe officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at noon.
