OSGOOD - Fresh green beans and a decorated carrot cake are nestled with other garden and homemade goodies on a table beneath a low-hanging apple tree at St. Maria's Community Farm.
On Saturday, traffic buzzed quickly by the fresh produce stand along state Route 705 where area residents sell their home-grown goods and baked items on Saturdays to benefit the less fortunate. MINSTER - The Grand Lake area is assured of at least one team making it to the championship game of the District 4 ACME baseball tournament this Sunday.
All four area teams won their tournament openers on Sunday at Hanover Street Park in Minster.
The wins ranged from Coldwater's 3-0 pitcher's duel victory over Van Wert to St. Marys' 16-0 pasting of Fort Loramie in the nightcap. [More]

There was no sticker shock for Mercer County officials last week when the final estimates for a proposed sewer project came in right where they were previously predicted.
