The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency has issued a statewide Air Quality Advisory for the entire state of Ohio as smoke from Canadian wildfires continues to adversely impact air quality.
Pollutants across the state are expected to range from the 'Unhealthy For Sensitive Groups' category in the southwest part of the state to the 'Unhealthy' category in the rest of the state. Hourly concentrations at times may reach the 'Very Unhealthy' to 'Hazardous' categories.
It is recommended, when possible, to avoid strenuous outdoor activities, especially those with heart disease and respiratory conditions like asthma. Watch for symptoms including wheezing, coughing, chest tightness, dizziness, or burning in the nose, throat, and eyes.

At 519 PM EDT, a strong thunderstorm was located over Waynesfield, moving northeast at 10 mph.
HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 45 mph and very heavy rain.
SOURCE...Radar indicated.
IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured objects. Visibility will be poor and hydroplaning is possible.
Locations impacted include... Alger, Waynesfield, Roundhead, Mcguffey, Silver Creek, Jumbo, New Hampshire, Walton, and State Route 195 at State Route 235.
If outdoors, consider seeking shelter inside a sturdy building.
Motorists should slow down and use extra caution.

Mary Darnell-Schneider
Mary Ellen Darnell-Schneider, 73, 1245 Knoxville Ave., St. Marys, died at 8:10 p.m. Sept. 3, 2006, at her residence.
She was born Jan. 13, 1933, in Celina, to Dee and Marie Felver Now. On Aug. 2, 1986, she married David Schneider, who survives.
Also surviving are a son, Ray Darnell, Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Denise Darnell, St. Marys, and Rochelle (Robert) Darnell-Kinahan, Arvada, Colo.; a stepdaughter, Kris (Earl) Norcross, Dublin; a sister, Anita (Boyd) Granger, Celina; a sister-in-law, Margie Now, Klamath Falls, Ore.; and two grandchildren.
Deceased are two brothers, Ed and Dean Now.
She was retired from St. Marys City Schools, where she had served as the secretary to high school principal. She was a 1951 Celina High School graduate and a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ and Ohio Child Conservation League, both of St. Marys.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home, St. Marys.
Calling is 7-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
