* At 532 AM EDT, radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain falling across the warned area. Between 1 and 3 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 1 to 2 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly.

Phillip Ahlers
Phillip D. Ahlers, 48, 204 W. Wiggs St., Fort Recovery, died at 10:55 p.m. Sept. 17, 2006, at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater. Death was due to natural causes.
He was born Oct. 2, 1957, in Middletown, to Edward and Catherine Creekmur Ahlers. His father survives in Burkettsville. On March 28, 1981, he married Carolyn R. Wood, who survives.
Also surviving are two daughters, Theresa Walters, Celina, and Laura, Fort Recovery; a brother, James (Brenda), Fort Recovery; a sister, Kim (Michael) Tracey, Celina; and a grandchild.
Deceased is a son, Phillip C.
He was employed at Wenning's Poultry and formerly at Wendel Poultry, both in Fort Recovery. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in the 101st Airborne and the Ohio National Guard. He was a member of the Church of the Nazarene, Fort Recovery.
Services are 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Dennis Kelley officiating. Burial of cremated remains will take place at a later date at Mercer Memory Gardens, Celina.
Calling is 4-8 p.m. Thursday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, and after 9:30 a.m. Friday at the church.
