Leslie Roehm
Former Mercer County resident Leslie L. "Bill" Roehm, 80, of Bellbrook, died Sept. 27, 2006, at his residence. Death was due to a short battle with cancer.
He was born Oct. 10, 1925, in Malden, Mo., to William and Sybol Lynn Roehm. On April 3, 1947, he married Marjorie Riesinger, who survives.
Also surviving are three sons, Charles L. (Nancy), Richard L. (Deborah) and Jerrold A. (Sondra), Celina; a daughter, Brieta M. (Chet) Robbins; a brother, Jimmy Dale (Frances); three sisters, Clo Ella Sparks, Betty Jean (Joe) Bailey and Phyllis Book; a brother-in-law, Jim (Martha) Riesinger; 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He retired as vice-principal of Northridge Middle School in 1985 and was a member of Hope United Methodist Church of Bellbrook, Glades Country Club of Naples, Fla., and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 9927 and American Legion Post 598, both of Kettering.
Services are 11 a.m. Monday at Routsong Funeral Home, Kettering, the Rev. Victoria Powers-Smith officiating. Burial is at Evergreen Cemetery, West Carrollton.
Calling is 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
