Wapakoneta vs. Celina

7:30 p.m. Friday - Celina Stadium

By Daily Standard Staff
Highlights: Wapak clinched at least a share of its first Western Buckeye League title since 1996 with a big win over Bath, securing a playoff spot in the process.
The Bulldogs drew the first blood against Defiance, only to have Defiance score the next 42 points to drop Celina to 2-7.
Power Players: Redskin sophomore RB Jason Bartlett rushed for 160 yards, getting two long touchdown runs in the process as the Redskins rolled up 339 yards on the ground.
Celina sophomore RB Spencer Foulkes, returning from injury, scored the lone Bulldog touchdown and added 36 rushing yards.
Keys to the game: The Redskins will look to cap an excellent season with sealing up sole possession of the WBL title with a win. With Kevin Fell's squad already ensured a week 11 game, Wapak will look to get out early and keep the momentum in the second half.
With a tough season coming to an end, Celina will look to find some sort of positive to end the season. Giving Wapak all it could handle would be a good start for 2007 with underclassmen at a number of key skilled spots returning.
Tidbits: Wapak leads the all-time series 33-44. The last six meetings under former coach Mike Fell, brother to Wapak coach Kevin Fell, were split 3-3 each. A Celina loss would ensure coach Jerry Harris' worst season at Celina since a 1-9 campaign in 1987.
