Harry Willmann
Harry E. "Hedge" Willmann, 83, 421 E. Broadway St., Fort Recovery, died at 5:32 a.m. Oct. 27, 2006, at the VA Northern Indiana Health Care System, Fort Wayne, Ind.
He was born Oct. 28, 1922, in Fort Recovery to Edward and Elva Jones Willmann.
Surviving are two daughters, Carolyn (Dennis) Parsons, Fort Recovery, and Suellen (Mike) Denney, Rochester, Ind.; two sisters, Ruth Huelsman, Urbana, and Cleo Willmann, Fort Recovery; two brothers, Harold (Ruth), Fort Recovery, and Bill (Betty), St. Marys; a sister-in-law, Joyce, Newark; seven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Marvin and Robert, and a sister, June Regedanz.
He was a graduate of Fort Recovery High School and had worked for Petersons Construction, Wapakoneta, and Sunnyside Farms, Fort Recovery. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II and was a member and past commander of Veteran of Foreign Wars Post 6515, Fort Recovery, where he has served as manager for 27 years. He also was a member of the Fort Recovery American Legion.
Services are 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brockman & Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery, the Rev. Douglas Meyer officiating. Burial will follow at Greenmound Cemetery, Fort Recovery. Graveside military honors will be conducted by the American Legion.
Calling is 3-8 p.m. Monday and 1-2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
