Special Weather Statement issued January 10 at 1:39PM EST by NWS Wilmington OH (details ...)
Light snow is expected across the area early Sunday morning. Minor snow accumulations are possible. Temperatures around freezing will support the development of slick spots, especially on elevated and untreated surfaces. Additional snow showers are expected throughout the morning with temperatures dropping into the mid and upper 20s. As the snow showers move through, quick bursts of snow will reduce visibility and result in light snow accumulations which may cover roadways.
If traveling Sunday, allow for some extra time to reach your destination and be prepared for rapidly changing driving conditions.

Thanksgiving meals bring smiles
Photo by Margie Wuebker/The Daily Standard

At left, Giving Thanks 2006 in St. Marys served free meals to several hundred people Thursday including Grace Young and her son, Tim. Penni Carroll, the Giving Thanks turkey for the sixth year, lost her feathers Wednesday night when her original turkey costume was stolen from her car. Astonishingly she was able to round up another costume Thursday morning from a relative in Vandalia. "We met in Sidney and got the costume. Isn't it amazing we could even find a backup turkey suit on such short notice?" said Carroll, adding she hopes the turkey-napper will return the original costume that was especially made for Giving Thanks.
