Lavern Clune
Lavern Charles Clune, 65, of Huntsville, Ala., died Nov. 29, 2006, at Huntsville Hospital.
He was born Aug. 23, 1941, in Minster, to Agnes and Alphonse Clune. On Nov. 26, 1963, he married Jane Frances Rinderle, who survives.
Survivors are two sons, Tom (Marilyn), Bowie, Md., and Andrew (Stacey), Centennial, Colo.; two daughters, Susan (Jimmy) Grace, Louisville, Ky., and Linda (Joe) Rist, Huntsville; five brothers, Arnold (Pat), John (Marilyn), Richard (Sandy), Edgar and Randall; four sisters, Julianna (Charles) Pax, Janice (LeRoy) Piekenbrock, Mary Kay (Roger) Hoying, and Deborah (Charles) Riethman; and eight grandchildren.
He was employed at Lockheed Martin and was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church, Huntsville. He received his bachelorsof science in 1963 from the University of Dayton and in 1968 his master's and PhD in physics from Case Western Reserve.
Services are noon Friday at the church the Rev. Michael MacMahon officiating. Burial will be in Maple Hill Cemetery, Inc.
Calling is 5-7 p.m. Thursday at the church with a prayer vigil at 7 p.m.
Contributions can be made to St. Vincent DePaul Society.
