Marion Local wins State Championship

Ross Thobe, better known to Marion Local fans as Freddy Flyer, waves a Marion Local flag at the Division VI state championship game on Friday at Canton's Fawcett Stadium. Marion Local defeated Shadyside, 17-0, to win the third state title in the past seven years for the Flyers.
