Scattered snow showers will continue through mid morning. With temperatures well below freezing, light snow accumulations will combine with lingering black ice from overnight, to create some slick spots on area roadways. In addition, brisk westerly winds will gust in the 25 to 35 mph range this morning.
If traveling this morning, allow for some extra time to reach your destination. Be prepared for slick conditions, especially on bridges and overpasses as well as untreated surfaces.

A Christmas story

A cloud full of angels await their curtain call in a nativity play at the Coldwater library on Wednesday. The event, directed by librarian Grace Cully, was part of the library's extended storytime program. The Christmas program was well-attended by a crowd of parents, grandparents and others.
