* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.

Wilfred Hartings
Wilfred E. Hartings, 80, 1002 Buckeye St., Celina, died Dec. 26, 2006, at Celina Manor Nursing Home.
He was born March 9, 1926, in St. Rose, to John and Bernadine Leugers Hartings. On Sept. 11, 1948, he married Idaleen Sutter, who survives.
Survivors are three sons, James (Sherry), Vandalia, Robert (Lois), Piqua, and Joseph (Nancy), Celina; a daughter, Carolyn (David) Bates, Brookville; two brothers, Vernon (Arlene), St. Rose, and Leo (Beverly), Shelby; three sisters, Alfreda Mescher, Minster, Alice Moorman, Minster, and Doris (Gene) Imwalle, Maria Stein; and 13 grandchildren.
Deceased are a brother, Alfred; and three sisters, Elenora Knapke, Luella Osterholt and Norma Thobe.
He retired from Reynolds & Reynolds, Celina, and was a bingo caller. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy, serving during World War II, and a 1944 graduate of St. Johns High School. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Church, Celina; American Legion Post 571, Maria Stein; Knights of Columbus Council 1800, Celina; and Disabled American Veterans.
Funeral Mass is 10:30 a.m. Friday at the church, the Rev. Richard Riedel officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-7 p.m. Thursday at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina.
Contributions can be made to the church endowment fund or Mercer-Auglaize Hospice.
